If what i hear is correct, there are companies(Microsoft) which take BSD code (network stack i hear) and made it proprietary by not giving back anything. What i don't understand is are we not loosing anything in this case??
Microsoft also uses OpenBSD code for much of their Services For Unix product. What's wrong with that? If your goal is to write quality code and give it to the world, then why not let the world use it?
