Hi, i can only say something for very small networks, 2-4 machines on pretty old hardware as p3 500 MHz and 192 MB ram and i cant see any differences in speed compared to slackware which i was running before openbsd. At work i have a few somewhat bigger nets that ranges from 100 to 300 users although there is extremely seldom with more than 40-50 concurrent sessions and i have the feeling that it would4nt be any differences on that hardware neither,( xeon 500 MHz to xeon 1GHz ).
I have never had the pleasure to run something serverwise on more fun hardware than that. :) 2008/4/22, Tim May <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > Has anyone had an opportunity to gauge Samba > performance on OpenBSD recently, either officially or > simply casual observations, I'd love to hear opinions. > I'm curious how it might compare to Samba on a modern > Linux machine on similar hardware. > > Thanks in advance.
