Seems like something a lot of people get bitten by.  How does one stay
informed on this snapshot libc/packages synchronization issue?

Looking at the timestamps of base and packages can give you
an idea too, if they differ much then they probably are not
synced with each other.

Thanks to all who responded, I wasn't aware that it's intentional
during the release times.
