the distribution to using a garbage collector.

    Managing your own memory is a very bad idea.  This has been known
for decades.  It's well documented in the professional literature
going back thirty years or more.

    People will complain that garbage collection can cause performance
issues.  Ask them if they've measured it, and how.  I would bet a
round of the best CBC ales that complainers have not measured or have
not measured anything signifigant.


(For a minor fee, this parody can be rewritten as numerous other
farces on the theme.)

    Honestly, your position is so extreme that it's hard to believe
you're not writing a parody yourself.  Last I checked, openbsd's
kernel was the traditional top/bottom split unix.  Can you remind me
what spl() is for, and then tell us again why threading is bad, bad,
bad?
