Are you quite sure the problem is in fact on the access point side? It may not be relevant to your situation, but my wife's dell laptop running ubuntu developed some serious flakiness in the wireless driver (intel 3945ABG, aka wpi on openbsd) after upgrading to the 7.10 release. The wireless network driver would just die and the machine would insist that wired network was the only possible way. That bug has been 'verified' in Ubuntu's system. - P -- Peter N. M.
