Not needed.
Most appliances/routers/whatever with serial consoles use 9600,8,N,1.

Those which don't can be configured  once and then it is a standard
OBSD install with a GENERIC kernel and you have the option to choose a
serial console @ 9600 [default] for the  post-install console during a
standard install.

Why oh why would anybody compile a custom console to achieve the same
operation?
