To combat this I use SpamAssassin/bmf (in different scenarios), plus some procmail rules and relaydb. Good news: it's all in ports/packages. More good news: Daniel Hartmeier has written this up nicely at http://www.benzedrine.cx/relaydb.html, which is where I got it from to begin with.
