i was just being sarcastic. the comment was not pointed at you (or anyone specifically). i often have to rewrite stuff to make it fit in with how i see things, but that doesn;t mean that the legwork cannot be done by others (it can), or that's it's not worth it (it is), or unappreciated (it is). and quite a few doc diffs do go in unaltered or with only minor modification. jmc
