I just installed 4.1 and I get a screen full of dc0: failed to force tx and rx to idle state I thought it might be a harmless annoyance but after awhile the thing drops into the debugger I missed the exact message it gave. I was hoping it would do it again before I have to leave but it hasn't I googled but didn't find a solution. I have cut and pasted the output from ifconfig and dmesg below. I do have a non tulip nic I might try tomorrow.
Any suggestions? ifconfig lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 33208 groups: lo inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 inet6 ::1 prefixlen 128 inet6 fe80::1%lo0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x3 dc0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 lladdr 00:a0:cc:da:bf:8e groups: egress media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX full-duplex) status: active inet6 fe80::2a0:ccff:feda:bf8e%dc0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x1 inet 192.168.1.65 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255 enc0: flags=0<> mtu 1536 OpenBSD 4.2 (GENERIC) #375: Tue Aug 28 10:38:44 MDT 2007 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC cpu0: Intel Pentium II ("GenuineIntel" 686-class, 512KB L2 cache) 334 MHz cpu0: FPU,V86,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,CMOV,PAT,PSE36,MMX,FXSR real mem = 267939840 (255MB) avail mem = 251437056 (239MB) mainbus0 at root bios0 at mainbus0: AT/286+ BIOS, date 09/08/98, BIOS32 rev. 0 @ 0xfb1f0, SMBIOS rev. 2.1 @ 0xf0800 (28 entries) bios0: vendor Award Software International, Inc. version "4.51 PG" date 09/08/98 bios0: First International Computer, Inc.
