I have a couple of machines which have usually run -current, and they work wonderfully. However, as with everything, TEST it first to make sure whatever you need is working right, before putting users/data on it. Of course this is standard advice for any type of upgrade. OpenBSD is the only OS I know where you can nearly always take advantage of the development release for real-world things, and have things work.
