TI AR7 is a 32-bit MIPS arch (they do have an ARM-based chip
too, OMAP, used in a few Nokia devices, e.g. 9300/9500 and web
tablet).

TI are not renowned for their open documentation (their 802.11
chips work quite well though...)

Not on OpenBSD, you can do this with certain PCI modems on
other OS but it needs zaptel drivers (big nasty chunk of kernel
code).
