am out of 19" rackmount rails here and would appreciate advice on
manufacturers and models for both sliding (attached) rails and the fixed

i am aware that there is a balance between being cheap and paying for it
later in labor, frustration, etc.
I've had good luck with L-bracket rails from Gruber
(http://www.gruber.com/gruberind/Store/Products/34-102100.htm), they fit
in 1U and don't waste any vertical rack space (many shelves waste 1/3U).
I haven't used any of their other products.
I have yet to find aftermarket sliding rails that don't suck. Either
get the "right" rails and cable management for your server, or use
shelves or L-brackets. All the aftermarket slides I've seen use the
same slides you can find in Home Depot, Lowes, etc. in the kitchen
cabinet section.
