Commercial ("charging people for") distribution is a different issue
than the license itself. Please don't confuse the two.

There is nothing in the BSD or ISC licenses which forbids GPL'd code
from linking to it. It's going the other way (BSD linking to GPL'd code)
that is the giant snake pit.
