clarification wise, this diff is just to support the concept
of "command mode" and "insert mode", entrance/exit between these
two modes, and the cursor/screen navigation while in command mode?
would it be safe to say that anything in the structs in the diff
that say "rescan" aren't really implemented yet and thus it would
be somewhat of a timewaster to worry about those at the moment?
I wouldn't expect much further development in this regard until, say,
April 1, 2008...
