This allows to write really simple programs (ask me for a skeleton), you'd just have to write more code to open /var/log/bgpd.sock and gather the information needed to answer for the OIDs. If anybody is interested in doing this (I have some code available) for BGP-MIB and possibly OSPF please contact me off-list, I can give directions.
