I "understand that the update process is supported in only one direction: from older to newer, and from -stable to -current", but anyway, did anybody try to downgrade from -current to -stable? Are there any painless steps for that?
I recommend the following two-steps painless procedure: 1. reinstall -release over your system. do not upgrade but reinstall. this will of course recreate all your filesystems. 2. upgrade from -release to -stable as explained in the FAQ. Miod
