What has open and free to do with being tracked by a single evil empire!? :) Also most OpenBSD (and *BSD for that matter I guess) users either: - don't have a default page at all - use google toolbar in the browser, thus using client=toolbar orso - don't browse on their servers running OpenBSD and other forms avoiding the client id to be sent at all.... Next to that of course, why should one be giving money to somebody else when there was a way to get that in your own pocket? If you want Google to give cash, better simply propose a good project that has value for the community (and for them too) and then do that project.
