Don't forget that both opera and opera-flashplugin are in the ports tree. The new "linux flash" if supported, would probably be used in a similar fashion (compat et al..) but it uses ALSA. As you know, ALSA is the (advanced) linux sound architecture. This is a problem that would consume time for not much gained in return--the easy solution to watching inane flash animations and google videos in your browser is as simple as installing linux.
