Hi Siju,

If you're just hearing just a whisper of audio and can't control the 
volume at all, then you might actually hearing signal bleed through on 
poorly isolated output circuits (which is very common). This can happen 
when the "sound" is going to one or more of the outputs but the 
particular output you're "listening on" (i.e. using) is actually shut 
off. 

I did notice you have one of your outputs set to be muted (``on''). 
Setting it to ``off'' might fix the problem.

Also there's some weirdness at the end of you dmesg regarding tracks on 
the CD you're using. The disc might not be compliant with the Audio CD 
standard due to some copyright protection scheme (or rootkit in the 
case of Sony). You might want to try a different disc.
