i have configured X using "xorgcfg" but it does not work properly:

1.) everytime i use "xinit" it switches OFF/ON my monitor for once.

2.) by default it show me the "1280x1024" mode which has verysmall
icons. i want to have "1024x768". to do that i added "Modes "1024x768"
in the Display section of "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" but it still does not
work. then i tried to change the frequencies but that results in
screen shifted to center of monitor from left side & down to middle
from the top.

what can i do to solve my problem? i have used "Fedora Core 4"
"NetBSD", "BLAG Linux" & "Debian Sarge" & they work nicely.

Have you tried copying the /etc/X11/xorg.conf from those other systems
and using it on OpenBSD?

i can't as right now i ahve only 1 OS on my AMD 64 OpenBSD 4.0
