I've now decided to go for a VIA based MSI board, called K9VGM-V. The archives believe the onboard Realtek (RTL8201CL) makes troubles, so I've added an Intel Pro1000GT card. Also the onboard SATA controller won't be needed since I'll use an LSI Megaraid 8X. Hopefully that'll rock. Thanks for your help! -- Stephan A.
