Hello,
I'm having some problems with this SATA controler:
It looks like small writes (updating the mbr) works ok,
but a larger write, such as a newfs, crashes the machine:
it stops after "super-block backups (for fsck -b #) at :"
it writes between 1 and 5 superblocks backups then it hangs there.
I also made some tests with dd, something like:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rwd0c bs=512 count=1 works fine but
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rwd0c bs=512 count=500 locks up the machine
Might not be relevant, but when the machine is locked up,
I have to hold the power button to shut it down, normally, pressing
that button shuts down the machine real quick (and it has to go
through fsck on reboot...)
Also, the keyboard seems to stop responding: caps lock and num lock
light don't light up.
Is there something I can try to get that controller to work like it should?
Anyone else having the same issue, or not having issues with that controller?
