yea, their bios updating utilty fried the prom on mine. however they dropped me a flashed chip no questions asked the next day which was impressive. its worked fine since then. I'd probably trend toward supermicro. I doubt a distinction could be made in pcb/part/solder quality. Supermicro gets a extra vote in support of their case offerings.
