Yes, exactly... like I said "the danger lies in the user, not in the
tool".

I suppose if a person wants to remain a kludge, and a stumble-bum for
the rest of their life, then they should avoid sharp objects, like
pencils (and compilers) and stick to non-toxic, blunt, soft Crayons,
for writing, and avoid tools that they might hurt themselves with...

...or, such a person might want to learn how to use powerful and
valuable tools like surgical scalpels (and compilers), safely and
effectively.

Either way, it's the user, not the tool, that is the problem.

Security is always relative, both in brick and mortar houses, and
computers... assuming one wants windows and doors on their house, and
access to the Internet with the computer.

In my opinion, optimal security is making  it as hard for the bad guys
as possible, while still getting my work done.

Getting my work done requires both an Internet connection, and at
least a few compilers, and script interpreters (and a bunch of other
tools).
