FFS is indeed fast but it is not bug free. It's my next target for a quite large regression test suite.
Maybe I can find all the bugs by making the regression test suite larger than the implementation. Not for in-tree development but as a tool for devs who want to find bugs. There are three approaches to testing : - userland sharing code with kernel (can be run as a user) - kernel code tested as root (mount / unmount / ops) - vmm/vmd crashing the system or injecting IO errors on demand.
