Something is really wrong where. At a closer look it seems like the originator_id even gets replaced. Look at this prefix and follow the cluster list to see the path. quagga-bgpd# sh ip bgp 192.168.10.0 BGP routing table entry for 192.168.10.0/24 Paths: (11 available, best #2, table Default-IP-Routing-Table) Not advertised to any peer Local 172.16.0.1 from 172.16.0.1 (172.16.0.1) Origin IGP, localpref 100, valid, internal, best Last update: Wed Apr 5 02:50:41 2006 172.16.1.1 from 10.0.0.1 (1.0.16.172) Origin IGP, metric 100, localpref 100, valid, internal Originator: 1.0.16.172, Cluster list: 10.0.0.1 Last update: Wed Apr 5 02:50:27 2006 172.16.1.5 from 10.0.0.2 (1.0.16.172) Origin IGP, metric 100, localpref 100, valid, internal Originator: 1.0.16.172, Cluster list: 10.0.0.2 Last update: Wed Apr 5 11:54:26 2006 Local 10.1.1.5 from 10.0.0.3 (1.0.16.172) Origin IGP, metric 200, localpref 100, valid, internal Originator: 1.0.16.172, Cluster list: 10.0.0.3 10.0.0.1 Last update: Wed Apr 5 02:49:32 2006 Local 10.1.1.13 from 10.0.0.4 (1.0.0.10) Origin IGP, metric 200, localpref 100, valid, internal Originator: 1.0.0.10, Cluster list: 10.0.0.4 10.0.0.2 Last update: Wed Apr 5 02:50:23 2006 Notice the originator_id on the last one, it has changed. Something is fishy here. I'll reboot the entire network and bring up one box at a time verifying the config also and see what happens. It is a bit tricky as the rde tends to exit once in a while with the attr_diff message. More to come... /Tony
