It's really too aggressive. Personally I have not yet been able to open _any_ 
cvsweb links without getting caught by it, in straightforward situations when 
e.g. someone sends a direct link to a diff.

Imagine opening an innocent-looking cvsweb link  on your phone that someone 
just sent you, as you are trying to put your kid to sleep ...  and then getting 
caught by the redirect because ... goodness knows why? I never tweaked any 
browser settings nor fiddled with headers, so I concluded it just hates my ISP.

Totally appreciate the need for self-defense from scrapers and I am really glad 
something is in place,  but I (and I guess my now ever slightly more 
sleep-deprived 6-year-old) would greatly appreciate finding different 
anti-scraper tactics. Like send them to an iocaine instance or something. 
Scrapers running headless on some VPS are not too annoyed by the popups and 
videos and whatnot, this only annoys actual humans trying to access the site 
who get caught by the filters for whatever undiscernible reason.
