Hi folks,

after moving my wireguard profile to a new Linux laptop the wg tunnel to
the OpenBSD (7.6) gateway wasn't stable. Initiated from the Laptop it
worked for a few minutes, then it was dead.

I had to disable the wg tunnel on the openbsd gateway using

        ifconwig wg0 -wgpeer <public_key>

and register it again using the previous params from hostname.wg0. Now
it seems to be stable.

The old laptop was still running on its usual IP address, except for
wireguard, of course. wg was off and disabled on the old laptop.

How comes? I've got a few complains from my colleagues observing
similar problems when moving their laptop from office to home network,
for example. Is it possible wireguard on OpenBSD has a problem with
recognizing a changed IP address for an existing tunnel?

Regards

Harri
