Just got word from the mail server's admin that they recently changed the dmarc 
rating requirement to a higher level, and forgot to whitelist various mailing 
lists. (I believe I got that right). 

Suffice to say, yes, it was my mail provider being clever lol.

Carry on, nothing weird here. :)

surely does not put it there.

Anything beyond that has nothing to do with OpenBSD.
Most probably it's your mail provider trying to be clever.
