Seems I had missed that the same diff was backported to 7.6 a bit less that two weeks ago: https://cvsweb.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/ports/databases/mariadb/Makefile.diff?r1=1.146.2.1&r2=1.146.2.2&only_with_tag=OPENBSD_7_6 So, you need just to get lastest version of ports from cvs to 7.6 -- wbr, Kirill
