I have a system with 4 3TB hard drives in a softraid(4) RAID 5 array. I
would like to expand the array to use much larger hard drives. I could
offline one drive, replace it with a larger drive, and then create a new
'd' RAID partition of the new size (with fdisk(8) and disklabel(8). Then
I would initiate a rebuild. Once that was done on all four drives, would
it be possible to modify the sofraid(4) volume's fdisk and disklabel so
I could use growfs(8) to increase the size of the softraid(4) RAID 5
volume?

I came across a thread asking about this exact issue for a softraid(4)
crypto volume and it was not possible to expland the softraid(4) volume
in that case. I am guessing that the same is probably true for RAID 5
but I am hoping that I may have overlooked something. Thank you.
