Hello, After checking acpi tables, xorg logs, kernel logs, xinput, etc... between 7.6 release & snapshots nothing stood out. I solved it by editing /usr/X11R6/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/70-synaptics.conf and commenting everything out.
My touchpad is now working fine. Cheers, Eric.
