Define "ages".  And by "connecting" do you mean associating with an
access point, the network traffic itself, or browsing a website?

Also, bear in mind that -- and this is stated on the man page -- the
urtwn driver has no 802.11n (or anything more recent than that), which
means you'll always be limited to a theoretical limit of 54Mbps.

FWIW, I have a couple of utrwn0 devices, and never managed to get
average speeds above 500-600 Kbps out of any of them, even when on
OFDM54 and signal strengths above -50dBm.
