the additional group is only applied after you relogin. $ doas usermod -G dialer tom $ id uid=1000(tom) gid=1000(tom) groups=1000(tom), 0(wheel), 735(_wireshark) $ id tom uid=1000(tom) gid=1000(tom) groups=1000(tom), 0(wheel), 117(dialer), 735(_wireshark)
