Yes, I would really like to do so. However, something really weird happened. The described behaviour was consistent and persistent after upgrade to 7.5, also across reboot. Due to Jeremy Mates mail, I tested copying termcap files to my home directory, and the behaviour stopped. Now I wanted to start testing environmental variables so I completely removed the ~/.terminfo/ directory, expecting the previous behavior to return. However, I cannot reproduce! I even tried rebooting, but no. I have no rational explanation for this. -- Eivind Eide "ONLY THOSE WHO ATTEMPT THE IMPOSSIBLE WILL ACHIEVE THE ABSURD" - Oceania Association of Autonomous Astronautsmi
