Your expectation is, that people using snap shots, because they are part of the dev and test community interested in early and frequent releases. However, there are folks who use snap shots, because the stable release doesn't yet support their hardware, and for these people it would be helpful to have a simple way to move from snap shot to stable. They are typically new to the system overall, therefore what's complex for us may well be confusing to them.
