Firstly your WN821N (an 11n NIC) won't support 11ac anyway. I think that was a hint as to where to look if wanting to work on the OpenBSD driver for WN821N to support 11n. (11n will be a huge improvement over 11g - obviously not as good as a full 11ac implementation but still fairly usable - in large part due to the additional features rather than modulation).
