Considering this is a firewall I'm assuming it doesn't differ significantly from a base install (network config, pf.conf, perhaps some ssh keys, a couple of packages). If this is the case I'd much rather do a fresh install and redo the changes. Unless you have a very complex setup, it's much quicker to start from scratch than do eight upgrades in a row. --
