Hi Jonathan, This at least confirms the behavior is expected, thanks for the clarity. In the mean time, I've got plenty of new things to explore on the 7.3 release - with a pair of two perfectly good X550 Ethernet interfaces to do it with!
For now I'll leave a standing offer: Any time into the future, if somebody at the project is thinking "Gee, wish I had an Intel E800 platform to evaluate" - reach out to me and I'd be happy to lend mine, and cover costs too. :) Thanks to you and all other contributors for the stellar software! -Andrew
