AFAIR nVidia cards are not well supported by Xorg anymore - you might want to search the mailing list archive for details. I bought some (used/old) ATi cards instead, e.g., ATI Radeon HD 7350, HD 3450, X1550 which work fairly well (at least for my purposes). -- Address is valid for this mailing list only, please do not reply to it directly, but to the list.
