Right. I have had this problem with some Thinkpads. According to
https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/b40_b50_rn_eu.pdf
the whitelist for this Lenovo B50-30 is

        • 3160NGW
        • BCM943142Y
        • QCNFA335
        • RTL8723BE
        • 7260NGW
        • BCM94352Z

Would people recommend any of these specificaly? I have only used
the Intel AC 7260 (mini-pci) before in some other Thinkpads
