The detail in my BIOS options specifically mentions it as a Linux workaround. Obviously patches couldn't be imported but I'll poke around to see if there's any discussion/a description of what exactly is happening. Aside from that is there any data I can send y'all? Jonathan's built up a pretty comprehensive set of dmesgs at this point, it seems like. (No need to cc me, I'm on misc@) Danny
