It does feel like that. But the messages at AHCI attach time are a bit
unusual. Did they happen with the previous release? Does the problem go away
if you revert to the previous release? (maybe it will be enough to just boot
an old kernel - if not then boot the old installer and do an 'upgrade" install.
There have been a number of changes to softraid/ahci between 6.7 and 6.8.
