I found that Linux battery life was somewhat poorer than Windows even with powertop tuning (this has generally been my experience with other laptops too). I did run on battery with OpenBSD yesterday for probably 4 hours with no issues but I did not check the percentage or time remaining. On Linux I was getting ~6 hours with moderate use.
