I did some more research, the "starry night" painting by vincent van gogh is
actually in the public domain.  And there is a higher resolution painting of
this.  Feel free to duplicate the process I did (copy into clipboard, 
bucketfill from clipboard) to get a poster quality.  I also give permission
to nicen it, to anyone.  It was a lost doodle art anyhow due to the segfault
of gimp and I didn't expect it to re-appear anymore.
