I'd quite like to debug this problem. I'm looking through the code now to find out where I can inject some sort of printf-like statement to glean some information about what it's [not] doing and may eventually even get somewhere.
I'll continue to do this regardless because I'm bored and I just spent a crapload of money on this thing and I'll be damned if it's going to not work on me and I want to use _this_ OS goddamnit, but if anyone can point me to resources to read or other hints about how to debug code running at such a low level before the OS has had a chance to take over, they would be greatly appreciated. I've been coddled for a long time and working on the bare metal like this is alien to me. Thanks, Matthew ps. Apologies if the list threading is screwed up.
