That is fine, but you need to polish your debugging skills to be able to handle this sort of issue yourself as you'll run into other problems from time to time. This one was pretty simple to diagnose after running into it (knowledge of recent commits, which you should have if you're running -current anyway, doubly so if you're building yourself, plus the errors shown in dmesg make the cause pretty clear)..
