I have a DL380 G1 (as well as two 1850s) running OpenBSD, works fine
with dual CPUs. As others mentioned, try changing the OS type to Linux
or Other.

Personally I always install the setup partition on G1/tan Compaqs, but
if you keep the SmartStart CD handy you can get away without it.
