Currently bge(4) performs better than em(4). bge(4) forwarded at ~400kpps whereas em(4) maxed out at ~300kpps. I could not test a sk(4) as I only had a 32bit single port sk(4) around and that would have been unfair to compare it against the other dual PCI-X cards. The two other PCI-64 cards I could test a bit where nge(4) and vge(4) both maxed out somewhere between 100kpps and 200kpps. The numbers where generated with an Agilent N2X network tester. The system under test was an amd64 (2.6GHz, Tyan Thunder K8S board) running i386 -current. -- :wq Claudio
