On a related note, I did manage to reproduce the "terminal not found"
messages you were seeing. These come from grub and are caused by vmd
emulating an original 8250 without the scratch register. If I enable
that, the serial port warnings go away. It doesn't appear to cause any
other regressions on other guests (aside from OpenBSD now thinking the
UART is a 16450 insted), so I might commit that in the next few days.

Even without the fix, things still appear to work - the reason is likely
because grub rejects the "missing" serial port and falls back to VGA,
which is then captured by sgabios and routed out the serial port anyway.
